The Key Insight
Good Google rankings help.
But they're not enough.
Good Google rankings help.
But they're not enough.
Research from EMGI Group (April 2026) found that 44% of brands with strong Google rankings have zero ChatGPT visibility. Pages ranking #1 on Google are cited 3.5x more often by ChatGPT, but only 12% of URLs ChatGPT cites also rank in Google's top 10.
This means ChatGPT applies its own selection criteria beyond Google rankings: entity consistency, authoritative mentions, review signals, content extractability, and freshness. A business can rank #1 on Google and still be invisible to ChatGPT if those signals are missing.
That is exactly why our process works the way it does. We build the Google foundation and the ChatGPT-specific signals together, in the sequence that earns citations fastest.
