Your website is much more than pages of content to help people learn more about your business and its products and services. There are several effective marketing tools you can use to help generate leads that can potentially lead to actual conversions. One of the most commonly used tools is to include “calls to action” on each of your website pages.

“Calls to action” are a subtle advertising technique which encourages the site visitor to take some immediate action, such as picking up the phone to schedule a free consultation, request a free sample, and so on. However, it is important to not to go overboard with “calls to actions” and use them frequently and numerous times on the same page. Ideally, you should limit yourself to a single call to action per each actual page of content.

In cases where your website design is one of the newer scrolling type pages, and clicking on a link drops you to the specific section on the homepage, then you will want to use different variations of “calls to actions” for variety and uniqueness.

Lead Tool Tip #1: Make Your Contact Page Link Easy to Find

You will want to make sure your website has its own “contact us” page with your business name, address, and phone number. You can also include a submission form on the page and embed a Google Map if you have a brick-and-mortar location. Some websites make it difficult to find this information, so make sure site visitors see a link to this page on every single page of your website.

Lead Tool Tip #2: Invite Visitors to Take Advantage of a Free Offer

Have a side banner with a button users can click to request the free offer. This could be a free “how-to” guide or eBook for retail operations or a free consultation appointment request or free initial service for service firms. For instance, if you have a lawn care service, you could offer a free shrub/bush trimming and complimentary landscaping consultation.

Lead Tool Tip #3: Embed a Button for a Special Promotional Offer

Invite visitors to take advantage of a special promotion offer, like 10% off their first order and free shipping, or other type of discount. The button should be linked to a new page that opens in a new window where they enter in their details, allowing you to collect their name and contact information before providing the discount code.

Lead Tool Tip #4: Encourage Visitors to Subscribe to Newsletters or Your Blog

You could have a button or input form at the bottom of one of your pages where people can enter in their email address to subscribe to these items. Just make sure to be transparent about how many emails they will be receiving, such a once a month for newsletters and once a week for blog posts.

By adding “calls to action” to your website, you can turn it into a lead generating tool. For assistance with web page design, development and incorporating “calls to actions” into your website content, contact Logik Digital at 1-866-307-0086 for more information today!
